Rodger L Powell

Rodger has an uncommon breadth and depth of experience across multiple aspects of hospitality and tourism with 25 years’ experience as a company Chairman, 20 years of CEO, MD and Director experience.

Rodger is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and of the Australian Institute of Management who holds AICD Company Director’s Diploma, Advanced Diploma and completed the Chairman’s course. He studied competitive strategy under Michael E. Porter and online marketing under Siimon Reynolds at the Fortune Institute. Rodger commenced an MBA in Tourism Marketing, has a diploma in Food and Beverage Management and is a Graduate of the Hayles Hotel School. Rodger is an excellent strategic thinker and he combines this with a commercial and business focused approach to marketing and sales. Rodger’s energetic and strategic approach together with his creativity bring and inspire people and ideas.


Heather Linnell

Heather is a committed hospitality professional with eight years experience in the hotel, tourism and leisure industry sector gained in Australia, the UK and southern Africa. Her broad experience encompasses hotels, leisure clubs, casinos, theme parks, mixed-use developments, golf resorts, timeshare and grassroots tourism master-planning. Skills include primary and secondary market research, interpretation of key market trends, preparation of market and financial feasibility studies, stakeholder consultation and formulation of strategic recommendations for practical implementation. She has completed numerous market feasibility studies for hotels, conference centers, health & wellness developments, visitor attractions, tested the viability of new hotel concepts in the marketplace and undertaken repositioning strategies to enhance operational performance.


Craig Davidson

Craig has spent more than 30 years working in and on the Australian Tourism Industry bringing a wealth of unrivalled knowledge and broad tourism experience across hotels, resorts, attractions and nature-based experiences to THSA. Craig’s more recent roles include Hamilton Island and Ayers Rock Resorts, Voyages, Tourism Australia where he headed up Tourism Australia’s Investment, Attraction and Industry Development team including the Indigenous Tourism Development Program and Dreamworld on the Gold Coast. Craig is an energetic, active problem solver who responds well to challenges using logical analysis and reasoning to make decisions. Flexible, adaptable, inventive and resourceful. Sales and revenue driven but understands fiscal discipline. Possesses exceptional people skills, able to work through conflicts and make people feel comfortable. An ability to make tough decisions and work through the detail when required.


Luisa Davidson

Luisa is a Project & FF&E Procurement Manager who works with THSA specialising in the accommodation and tourism industry. After spending more  than 30 years  in  the  hotel  industry  working with branded hotels, resorts and boutique operators,  Luisa  is  well  acquainted with hotel &  tourism business. Luisa’s projects include Hamilton Island’s iconic qualia Resort, the Yacht club, Golf Course Club House and Resort Hotel refurbishments, Nelson Meers Hotel Group, Marlow Group and Anthology. Luisa is also involved in THSA’s engagement with local and state Government undertaking industry research and feasibility studies for tourism projects including Hawksbury Valley region, Tasmania and Mornington Peninsula. A stickler for processes and timeliness, but more importantly, committed to projects undertaken, Luisa is passionate about what her clients do and how to help them do it better.
